Each year June 14th is celebrated as the World Blood Donors? Day - to say ?thank you? to millions of people who donate their blood to save and improve the quality of life of other people.
Clinics and hospitals regularly need blood and its components to help people.
Donors? Days are days when volunteers can donate their blood to help people to recover and live.
Blood donations are an essential part of our healthcare system. If we didn? t have volunteers giving blood, many medical procedures we take for granted could not take place. And many people would not be alive today if it wasn? t for the generosity of our donors. Doctors and surgeons rely on blood donations to carry out life-saving ad life-enhancing treatments every day.
On November 9, from 9.00 ? 12.00, all blood donors are welcome to donate their blood to Ludza community hall, 41 Stacijas street!
